Kilkee
Kilkee is located in County Clare and is situated on Moore Bay, a bay which is horse shoe shaped. The stunning reef known as Duggerna Rocks protects the entrance of the bay. From the 18th century, Kilkee started to develop as a tourist seaside resort. The main reason for its quick development was its pleasurable climate which is mild and composed.
The resort has developed along the semi- circled strand about 1 mile in length and has a good extended stretch of sands between the promenade and sea. It is regarded as one of the best and safest bathing place on the western coast. Although Kilkee is exposed to the full force of the Atlantic, the town is protected by Duggerna Reef. Kilkee has successfully managed to retain its 19th century Victorian atmosphere and has all the modern facilities to make your holiday a true and pleasurable experience.
